One tired Mommy and two sick kids...

We have 2 sick kids over here and the weather couldn't be better for it. All we need is some candles lit and Lord of the Rings turned on. And, my husband home from work. Wink

Ethan is not nearly as sick as Rachel, but he's also about 3 days behind her, so he'll most likely catch up. He had a really rough night last night. Don't know why, but he would not go to sleep. He pretty much cried off and on until 5am and then finally fell asleep, only to wake up (very hyper) at 8am. Rachel pretty much wants to be held when she's awake and take lots of naps. She's on Antibiotics, so the meds are most likely making her sleepy. Anyway... we're staying in doors today, relaxing and trying to get well. Poor Jason had to get up and go to work today, after probably not getting much sleep, hearing both kids all night long. Nights like that make me wonder how Moms of twins do it. I admire them greatly.

Hope you're all having a good Wednesday! -Stef

sorry stef. having sick kiddos is not fun stuff - esp when you just moved! Blah...hopefully things will brighten up soon and you'll get some rest! i love what you said about the candles and movies and hubby - i totally agree, that's the recipe for getting better. :)

love you,

T

Thanks... we ended up just having one of those lazy days. I stayed in my pj's until around 3pm (so terrible, I know) and the kids ended up both sleeping about 4 1/2 hour naps. So, even though we didn't go anywhere, being lazy at home was kind of what we all needed. Rachel is just not doing well at all... even with the meds. She's pretty much miserable all the time and wants to sleep 24/7 or be held and even then, she's fussy. Ethan is stuffed up, but other than that, seems fine. Have you heard Mom lately? She sounds terrible! I hope I don't get it... the Dr. said it lingers on for several weeks too. :(

Aw, I should have popped in on Weds when you were in your jammies! Laughing

I hope the kids are on the mend by now.  It's all cloudy and rainy today; makes me want to stay in MY jammies.
