A different topic
So I'm going to post about something other than a cute quote from the kids, something new that they're doing, what we did for the day or a cool YouTube video. I must say I hate that I've sort of become sucked into the whole youtube craze... never liked it much and I still don't, but I find it drawing me in more than it did before. Ug.
Back to my topic -- as we're anticipating this 3rd little blessing joining our family in about 6 months, I've been doing a lot of brain storming with Jase on how to better organize the house and free up some space. We absolutely love our house and we hope to be here for many years. I don't think either one of us ever planned on this being our final home, mainly because we'd like to have a large family and we don't anticipate having to live in a smaller house with a larger family. At this point though, we know there are many ways we can increase space, use storage better and make every square foot really count and stay here for quite a while. This is why we recently sold our white computer desk/armoire (one of my favorite pieces of furniture) and bought the side-by-side bookshelves. We needed more storage space and wanted to take up less room.
One place we'd like to really to utilize is our garage. Once our back yard is finished and all those huge boxes of playground and patio covering equipment is out of there, we plan to completely re-do the garage. We'd love to take most of the stuff in our closets (minus clothes) and move it out there. I would say the only thing I don't like about our house is the fact there is NO storage space! We have no hallway closet, no real bathroom storage and small closets in each room. So that's the one thing I'd change.
My reason for writing all this is not to bore you all to death... I have a question for you and please, if you have an opinion, LEAVE A COMMENT. We can't imagine your thoughts.
We're wondering if any of you have garage organizers that you love and would recommend to us. I've looked around at Lowes a bit and I've seen things here and there that I like, but nothing that really sticks out to me. We'd like overhead storage and then maybe some racks to hang on the walls for shelves and then maybe some shelving units with doors on them?
Seriously, share your thoughts. We'd love to hear them. It would be a huge help! Thanks.

You assume correctly my friend!
But I will give you how I'd LIKE our garage to be organized if I could do it any way I wanted.
1. I would have cupboards that would be deep enough to hold large, plastic bins with lids (like rubbermaid containers). The doors would be able to close (and lock) to hide everything in glorious containment!
2. There would be no junk laying around anywhere. None. Nada. (Obviously this is a dream).
3. I would like bike racks in the garage that would hold everyone's bike; somehow off the ground (like the ones against the walls perhaps?)
4. There would be large bins to hold toys; balls, skates, sidewalk chalk etc, all fitting into the above mentioned cupboards...all labeled and nice.
For now, we have shelves all around, some with bins on them, others with piles of...stuff...for lack of a nicer word. :) Kenny is not the most organized garage guy, so we compromise.
Good luck!
